2018 in Films
2018 was the first year I tracked movies watched. Most were on DVDs borrowed from the library or Netflix. Altogether, I watched 57 films for a total of 94 hours. They covered a range of genres and styles but the majority were animation films, especially from Pixar and Magic Light Pictures. My most watched actor was John Ratzenberger and most watched director was Brad Bird.
One highlight was binge watching all three Hobbit movies with Liz on the trans-Atlantic flight back from London. We also saw both the Incredibles and Incredibles 2 movies back to back at a pre-release showing at our local IMAX.
We went on to see Incredibles 2 two more times in theaters, unusual for us. Early in the year we saw the quirky Isle of Dogs and were excited to see the University of Hertfordshire Model Making department listed in the credits.

Similar to the book reading social app Goodreads, I used a service called Letterboxd to track my movie viewing. Overall it's a helpful service, but some of the nicer features are only available with the paid version.
